Colt Manufacturing: | Colt is a United States firearms manufacturer whose first predecessor corporation was founded in 1836 by Samuel Colt. Colt is best known for the engineering, production, and marketing of firearms over the later half of the 19th and the 20th century. Colt's earliest designs played a major role in the popularization of the revolver and the shift away from earlier single-shot pistols. While Sam Colt did not invent the revolver concept, his designs resulted in the first very successful ones. John Browning worked for Colt for a time, and came up with a design for a semiautomatic pistol, which debuted as the Colt M1900 pistol and eventually evolved into the Colt M1911 pistol. Though they did not develop it, for a long time Colt was primarily responsible for all AR-15 and M16 rifle production, as well as many derivatives of those firearms. |
CZ: | CZ products are currently imported exclusively by CZ-USA, a subsidiary of the parent company, Česká zbrojovka a.s. Uherský Brod (ČZUB) of the Czech Republic. CZ firearms have been available through normal channels in the US since 1991, through such importers/distributors as Bauska, Action Arms and Magnum Research. The CZ-USA headquarters and warehouse facility was moved to Kansas City from Oakhurst, California, in January 1998. |

Freedom Arms: | Freedom Arms is a Freedom, Wyoming-based firearm manufacturing company, known for producing powerful single-action revolvers. The company was founded in 1978 by Wayne Baker and Dick Casull to produce the Mini revolver then later a revolver chambered in Casull's powerful .454 Casull chambering. This 5-shot revolver was the Model 83. Freedom Arms currently makes a single-shot pistol in addition to their revolvers. |
Glock: | Glock is a series of semi-automatic pistols designed and produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H., located in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. Glock introduced ferritic nitrocarburizing into the firearms industry as an anti-corrosion surface treatment for metal gun parts. Despite initial resistance from the market to accept a "plastic gun" due to durability and reliability concerns, Glock pistols have become the company's most profitable line of products, commanding 65% of the market share of handguns for United States law enforcement agencies as well as supplying numerous national armed forces and security agencies worldwide. |
GSG (German Sport Guns): | German Sport Guns GmbH is a German firearm manufacturer. Their company focus is on .22 LR firearms, intended for sport shooting and plinking. Its products are copies or replicas of famous military firearms, but are often subject to much less legal scrutiny because of the cartridge they use. The company also produces airsoft replicas. |
Hämmerli: | Among the Swiss, shooting has been an important sport since the Middle Ages, and they have introduced many advances in sporting arms technology. Hämmerli arms have profited from the special knowledge gained over these many years. Today Hämmerli is an independent brand in the Carl Walther portfolio. Hämmerli sporting guns are distinguished by their high quality Swiss precision engineering. Look for them on the winners' podium at the Olympics. |
Heckler & Koch: | Heckler & Koch GmbH (HK) is a German defense manufacturing company that produces various small arms. Some of their products include the MP5 submachine gun, G3 automatic rifle, the G36 assault rifle, the HK 416, the MP7 personal defense weapon, the USP series of handguns, and the high-precision PSG1 sniper rifle. HK has a history of innovation in firearms, such as the use of polymers in weapon designs and the use of an integral rail for flashlights on handguns. HK also developed modern polygonal rifling, noted for its high accuracy, increased muzzle velocity and barrel life. |

Ithaca Guns: | Ithaca became famous for building firearms based on expired patents owned by Remington Arms. In a 1989 twist, Remington purchased a design from Ithaca, the Mag-10 shotgun, which they produced as the SP-10. Ithaca also produced the M1911 pistol and the M3 Grease Gun for the United States military during World War II. Its 12-gauge shotguns were the standard used by the Los Angeles Police Department and New York Police Department, and even sold to the Royal Thai Army in the early 1980s to arm farmers against communist infiltrators. Its hunting shotguns are known for their fine decorative work, typically waterfowl or hunting dogs. |
Kahr: | Kahr Arms is an American small arms manufacturer founded by Kook Jin "Justin" Moon (son of Unification Church founder Sun Myung Moon). It is owned by the Saeilo Corporation, a subsidiary of Tongil Group, a South Korean business group associated with the Unification Church. Kahr Arms specializes in compact and mid-size semi-automatic pistols chambered for popular cartridges, including .380ACP, 9 mm Luger Parabellum, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. Kahr pistols feature polymer or stainless steel frames, single-stack magazines, and double-action-only striker firing actions. Company headquarters is in Blauvelt, New York and the Kahr manufacturing facility is located in Worcester, Massachusetts. |
Kel-Tec Arms: | Founded in 1991 and based in Cocoa, Florida, Kel-Tec CNC Industries Inc. has manufactured firearms since 1995, starting with semi-automatic pistols and expanding to rifles and then shotguns. Weapons manufactured by Kel-Tec include the P-11 pistol, the P-32 pistol, the P-3AT pistol, the SUB-9 and the later SUB-2000, both semi-automatic pistol caliber carbines that fold for storage. In addition, the company offers a family of 5.56mm caliber rifles known as the SU-16 series. |
Kimber: | Kimber Manufacturing is an American company that designs, manufactures, and distributes small arms such as M1911 pistols, Solo pistols and rifles. The USA Shooting Team, Marines assigned to Special Operations Command, and the LAPD SWAT team use Kimber pistols. |
Marlin: | Marlin Firearms Co., formerly of North Haven, Connecticut, was a manufacturer of high power, center fire, lever action, and .22 caliber rimfire rifles. In the past, the company made shotguns, derringers and revolvers. Marlin owned the firearm manufacturer H & R Firearms, and more recently was owned by Remington Arms. |
Mossberg: | Mossberg is an American firearms manufacturer, specializing in shotguns, rifles, scopes and firearm accessories. Beginning in 1919, firearm production consisted of a four barreled, .22 caliber handgun known as the "Brownie." Following the success of the Brownie, .22 caliber rifles, shotguns, and rifle scopes were also developed, spawning a period of diversification within the sporting goods market. The company has remained a family-owned business to this day, and is the oldest family-owned firearms manufacturer in America. |
Navy Arms: | Navy Arms was an importer and manufacturer of replica arms and hard-to-find ammunition. For six decades, the Forgett family provided hundreds of thousands of firearms and tens of millions of rounds of ammunition to shooters, hunters, sportsmen and collectors. Unfortunately Navy Arms is not importing firearms at this time. They have, however, uncovered a supply of parts for some of the Navy Arms guns. |
North American Arms: | North American Arms is a United States company, headquartered in Provo, Utah, that manufactures small pistols and mini-revolvers. The mini-revolvers produced by the company are single action revolvers, which have a spur trigger design. They are reminiscent of late 19th century pocket revolvers, the main differences being their size and that NAA's mini-revolvers are made completely of stainless steel. The design of the mini-revolvers was developed by Freedom Arms, which stopped selling them in 1990 and sold the design to North American Arms. |
Remington: | The legendary Remington Arms Company, Inc. was founded in 1816 in Ilion, New York. It is the oldest company in the United States which still makes its original product, and is the oldest continuously operating manufacturer in North America. It is the only U.S. company which produces both firearms and ammunition domestically, and is the largest U.S. producer of shotguns and rifles. Need we say more? |
Ruger Firearms: | Sturm, Ruger & Company, Incorporated is a Southport, Connecticut-based firearm manufacturing company, better known by the shortened name Ruger. Sturm, Ruger produces bolt-action, semi-automatic, full-automatic, and single-shot rifles, shotguns, semi-automatic pistols, and single- and double-action revolvers. Ruger is the fourth largest firearms manufacturer in the United States. |
Savage Arms: | The Savage Arms Company is a firearms manufacturing company based in Westfield, Massachusetts, with a division located in Canada. The company makes a variety of rimfire and centerfire rifles, as well as marketing the Stevens single-shot rifles and shotguns. They may be best known for the Model 99 hammerless lever-action rifle, no longer in production, and the very popular .300 Savage sporting cartridge, which was the parent case for the .308 Winchester cartridge. |
Sig Arms: | In 1985, Sigarms Inc. was created as the American branch of SIG in Tysons Corner, Virginia to import the P220 and P230. In 1987 Sigarms moved to Herndon, Virginia, and in 1990 moved to Exeter, New Hampshire to accommodate new manufacturing. On October 1, 2007 Sigarms officially changed their name to SIG Sauer Inc. Today, SIG Sauer is one of the largest firearms manufacturing entities in the world. It is also the fastest growing firearms maker in the United States. According to SIG Sauer, one-third of U.S. police use SIG firearms. |
Smith & Wesson: | Smith & Wesson corporate headquarters are in Springfield, Massachusetts. Founded in 1852, Smith & Wesson's pistols and revolvers have become standard issue to police and armed forces throughout the world. They are also used by sport shooters and have been featured in numerous Hollywood movies, particularly Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry. S&W has been known for the many types of ammunition it has introduced over the years, and many cartridges bear the company's name. |
Springfield Armory: | Springfield Armory, Inc. is a firearms manufacturer and importer based in Geneseo, Illinois, founded in 1974. It is one of the largest firearms marketers of imported firearms in the United States and is a four-time recipient of the National Rifle Association Gun of the Year Award. The company's main products are its M1911 pistols and the M1A rifle series. It has been importing the Croatian HS2000 pistol as the XD ("eXtreme-Duty") series since 2002. |
Taurus: | Taurus produced its first revolver, the Model 38101SO, in 1941 and began exporting its revolvers to the U.S. market in 1968 through a series of importers. In 1970, the Bangor Punta Corporation, then the parent company of Smith & Wesson, purchased 54 percent of Forjas Taurus, allowing the two firearms manufacturers to easily share information regarding design and manufacturing. In order to more effectively tap the U.S. market, the company created a subsidiary, Taurus International Manufacturing Incorporated, also known as Taurus USA, in 1984. |
Walther: | Walther is a German arms manufacturer. For more than 100 years, Walther made major breakthroughs in the development of pistols. Some are legendary, like the PPK and the P99 – both pistols carried by the fictional character James Bond – and the P38, the standard-issue sidearm of the German military in World War II. |
Weatherby: | In addition to a line of shotguns and an extensive line of high-quality ammunition, Weatherby offers only two lines of centerfire rifles: the Mark V and the Vanguard. Weatherby rifles are some of the only rifles in the world to come with a guarantee of 1.5 MOA and even sub-MOA accuracy from a cold bore on some models. Generally regarded as of higher quality than Remington or Winchester rifles, Weatherby Mark V rifles are considerably more expensive in terms of both the rifle and ammunition. However, the Vanguard models are competitively priced with other makes and models. |

Winchester: | The Winchester Repeating Arms Company was a prominent American maker of repeating firearms, located in New Haven, Connecticut. The Winchester brand is today used under license by two subsidiaries of the Herstal Group, Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Belgium and the Browning Arms Company of Morgan, Utah. |

Hornady: | Hornady Manufacturing Company is an American manufacturer of ammunition and handloading components, based in Grand Island, Nebraska. The company was founded by Joyce Hornady in 1949 and is currently run by his son Steve Hornady who took over after his father's death in a plane crash in 1981. Hornady makes target shooting and hunting rounds as well as high quality self-defense loads. |
Laser Ammo: | Laser Ammo Ltd. develops and sells firearms training products for civilian, law enforcement, and military markets. The Company's initial product was the SureStrike™ laser training bullet. The Company's R&D is conducted at its Israel office.
